Students make a beeline for Science Expres at Kasaragod The ‘Science Express’, an innovative mobile exhibition mounted on a 16-AC coach train showcasing myriads of fascinating pieces to foster scientific temper among students and youth, began its four-day camp at the Kasaragod railway station here on Thursday. Hundreds of students accompanied by their teachers streamed into Platform No. 3 to capture the excitement of the rare opportunity to learn about the science exhibits at the special train. The ‘Science Express Biodiversity Special’ (SEBS) reached here straight from Shoranur at the end of the three-day halt at the railway station on Wednesday. ഉത്സവമായി ഭിന്ന ശേഷിയുള്ള കുട്ടികളുടെ ഒത്തുചേരല് ഉത്സവമായി ഭിന്ന ശേഷിയുള്ള കുട്ടികളുടെ ഒത്തുചേരല് വൈകല്യം മറന്ന മനസ്സുമായി ഒരുപാട് നാളുകള്ക്കിപ്പുറം കൂട്ടുകാര്ക്കൊപ്പം കൂട്ടുകൂടാനായതിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിലായിരുന്നു ജില്ലയിലെ അഞ്ഞൂറോളം ഭിന്നശേഷിയുള്ള കുട്ടികള്. പൂക്കളമൊരുക്കിയും, പാട്ടുപാടിയും, കഥപറഞ്ഞും ഇവര് ഒത്തുചേരല് ഉത്സവമാക്കി. സര്വ്വശിക്ഷ അഭിയാന്, തദ്ദേശഭരണസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ ജീല്ലയിലെ പത്തു കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഏകദിന അറിവനുഭവ കൂട്ടായ്മയായിരുന്നു ഭിന്നശേഷിയുള്ള കുട്ടികളുടെ ഒത്തുചേരലിന് വേദിയായത്. നാരങ്ങാമിഠായി ,സ്പര്ശം, ജ്വലനം,അരുണോദയം,വര്ണ്ണപമ്പരം,മഞ്ചാടി,കളകളാരവം എന്നിങ്ങനെ പേരുകളിലാണ് കൂട്ടായ്മ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. പടന്ന, നാലിലാംകണ്ടം, കുന്നുംകൈ, അടുക്കത്ത് ബയല്, കുറ്റിക്കോല്, പെര്ഡാല, കൊഡല മുഗറു, കുറിച്ചിപ്പള്ള, ബേക്കല് ബി.ആര്.സി,ഹോസ്ദുര്ഗ് ബി.ആര്.സി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് കൂട്ടായ്മ നടന്നത്. കുട്ടികള് കടലാസുകൊണ്ടുള്ള വര്ണ്ണപ്പൂക്കള് ഒരുക്കിയതോടെയാണ് എല്ലാ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലും പരിപാടികള്ക്ക് തുടക്കമായത്. ഓരോ കേന...

The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. It was originally called "International Day of Disabled Persons".[1] Each year the day focuses on a different issue.
